چکیده
Abstract As the world population grows, aquaculture sector faces challenges in use of production systems to ensure adequacy food supply. Technical efficiency analysis has been shown be useful for improving resource management and production. This study provides a literature update uses meta‐regression examine variations mean technical (MTE) scores based on 101 studies published from 1998 2023. The findings show that with larger model dimensions, different output measures, an input‐oriented specification analyse exogenous variables scores, freshwater aquaculture, European data produce narrower variance MTE scores. In contrast, panel nonparametric envelopment (DEA) generate wider result these investigations, suggest importance selecting appropriate sample sizes estimates. Robustness checks DEA stochastic frontier (SFA) approaches are recommended future studies. Different policies regulations should implemented countries across farming systems.

Malaysian white shrimp (P. vannamei) aquaculture: an application of stochastic frontier analysis on technical efficiency
Shrimp aquaculture is playing a vital role in Malaysian agriculture, especially its increasing contribution to economic growth. White shrimp aquaculture is not only the key player in brackish water shrimp aquaculture but also the largest contributor to Malaysian shrimp aquaculture. This study estimates technical efficiency and investigates factors affecting technical inefficiency of Malaysian w...

Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus is one of the primary tilapia species being cultured. Much of the stocks being cultured are based on a limited number of collections from the wild, which may differ in their reproductive and growth characteristics. An evaluation of reproductive and growth characteristics of the Egypt, Ivory Coast, Sagana, and Lake Victoria strains of O. niloticus was done at A...

This experiment was conducted for 150 days in 15 earthen ponds, 100 m2 in surface area and 1.2 m in depth, at the Institute of Agriculture and Animal science (IAAS), Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. One cage (1.5 x 1.5 x 1 m and water volume of 2-m3) covered with 1-cm mesh net was suspended in each of the treatment ponds. There were one control and four treatments with three replicates each: carps at 1 ...

Eight, three-day workshops were given in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam during June to July 2002. These workshops focused on practical aspects of how to use principles of pond dynamics to improve pond management and optimize fertilization efficiencies for natural food production in semi-intensive aquaculture systems. The centerpiece of the workshops was learning how to...

This study examined the current state of abandonment and conversion of shrimp ponds in several areas of Thailand and identified patterns in conversion activities. A semi-structured questionnaire was used to gather data from farmers, head villagers, and stakeholders in villages throughout Chanthaburi, Chachoengsao, and Samut Sakhon provinces. These areas were selected because they had experience...
